The watershed boundary encompasses parts of three counties – Wayne, Pike and Lackawanna – and 26 municipalities. According to the 1990-2000 Census figures, Pike County is the fastest growing County in the Commonwealth at 65.6%; Wayne County is the third fastest growing County at 19.5%.

Just over 26 municipalities within the watershed are experiencing 1990-2000 population growth rates of over 20%. While Pike County municipalities lying within the watershed are experiencing much greater – Blooming Grove 79.1% Palmyra 59.2%; Greene 50.2%; Lackawanna 46.7%.
