Come meet with volunteers of the Wayne County Historical Society on Saturday, May 2, at Lock 31, Lock 31 House, one mile west of Hawley, PA on Rte. 6, for a morning of work (and fun) cleaning up a section of the former Delaware and Hudson Canal. We’ll set to work at about 9 am and continue until 1 pm.
Then while admiring the fruits of our labors, we’ll enjoy a barbecue and potluck lunch and hear about the exciting progress the Society is making to restore the Lock House and this section of the Canal, designated a local National Historic Landmark.
Don’t forget to bring you rakes, mowers, weedwhackers and pruners!
Please RSVP by email indicating your intention to join this worthwhile effort and indicate what you’d like to contribute to the pot luck.
Date & Time: May 2, 9am-1pm
