Tues., July 2, 6:30 pmPipeline Proliferation! 

TLRC hosts meeting on natural gas  pipelines in Pike and Wayne Counties.  Guest speaker Faith Zerbe,  Delaware Riverkeeper Network, will discuss the pipelines and compressor      stations that are either planned or under construction in the Delaware                                   River basin.  The public is invited to attend and learn what we can all do                                  to try to minimize  the negative impact of these activities on the local                                       environment.

Thu., July 4, 11-11:30 amIndependence Day Parade, Hawley, PA

Come and march behind the Conservancy’s banner at this popular local                                   civic event.  Line-up is betw. 11 and 11:30 on Church Street, above Main  Ave, and we step off at noon.  Parade ends at Bingham Park.

Sat., July 20, 10am-4 pm —  Zane Grey Days.

Visit TLRC’s display at this annual event of the   National Park Service.  Activities for the entire family.

Sat., July 27, 11 am-3:30 pmTLRC ’s Day at Prompton State Park

Come and experience the beautiful Prompton Reservoir, headwaters of the                          Lackawaxen River.  Fun and educational interactive programs, and                                          opportunites for boating (kayaks and canoes), hiking, geocaching.                                    Potluck picnic (let us know what you’re bringing); BBQ fare provided by                                 TLRC.  Park Entrance on Rte. 170, just north of Rte. 6, c. 4 miles west of                              Honesdale, PA.

Sat., Aug. 24 –all dayFirst Annual Canal Festival.  Official opening of the   Delaware & Hudson Canal Park at Lock House 31, Rte. 6, just west of Hawley, PA.                Festival showcases life during the 1800s on the Canal.  Features heritage activities,             children’s games, food, music and exhibits for the whole family.  TLRC is pleased to participate in this event of the Wayne County Historical County Historical Society, a partner organization.
